Chiropractic Care

“Restoring normal function and peak performance.”

Dr. Anders practices a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractic care is a holistic form of health care that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous system.  Spinal and extremity adjustments are used to correct misalignment's to restore normal function allowing the body to heal naturally. Misalignment and decreased function of a joint can lead to loss of normal nerve and muscle function. These impaired functions can often result in muscle pain, soft tissue inflammation, and joint dysfunction. During a chiropractic adjustment a force is applied to a specific segment to correct the misalignment and restoring proper function.

Stages of Care.

  • Initial Care

An initial visit will begin with a thorough history and comprehensive physical examination (with or without x-rays) to diagnose your condition.  During the exam we will determine the origin of your discomfort to eliminate the cause, rather than simply treating the symptoms alone. A combination of soft tissue work, physiotherapy, exercise rehabilitation, and spinal manipulation will be used to effectively treat each patient with a detailed program. Our patient centered care focuses on decreasing pain, reducing inflammation, accelerating the natural healing process of the body, and restoring normal nervous system function. It is our mission to address the body as a whole to help limit the susceptibility and promote a healthy lifestyle for our patients by providing a wide range of health services.

  • Acute Care

The first stage of care is focused on reducing and/or eliminating the patient’s pain. In this first stage patients may be asked to return for multiple visits until symptoms subside.

  • Rehabilitative Care

Once your condition is stabilized, treatment will be focused on correcting the root of underlying condition.  During this phase the patient will enter our specific reconditioning program to strengthen, stabilize, and mobilize specific muscles and joints to resolve the issue.  Many patients that do not follow through with this phase of care will often relapse since the underlying issue was never corrected. This phase of care is the most important for the patient to be dedicated to achieving necessary results.

  • Wellness Care

After achieving your desired level of health each patient will have a specific program tailored to them to maintain proper joint, muscle, and nerve function. For many patients this is an educational process that allows them to be more aware of their condition and maintain a preventative program.
